1. Buy Your Flight in Advance as Possible:

You should book your flight in advance as possible. Don’t wait for the last minute. This is because flights booked within three days of take-off are 40% more expensive than booking made in advance. Try to book your flight at least 50 days in advance. For international flights, booking should be made two months before the departure. Besides, book local transportation like taxi service, airport transfer, and Private shuttle service in advance.

2. Create an Itinerary:

An itinerary is a travel plan which houses all of the travel information like flight information, ground transport information, hotel, reservation number, places to see and other important details. If it’s a long trip, create a copy of this plan and leave with your trusted friend or relative. This will be useful if you get into trouble or don’t arrive back on your expected time.

3. Choose the Right Hotel:

A hotel is your home away from home. Therefore, make sure to choose the right one. While there are plenty of options to choose from, always look for the location, amenities, testimonials, and prices to ensure the right hotel. Here’s how…

  • Check the amenities like AC, parking, Wi-Fi, and breakfast.
  • Check the location using Google Map. It would help you determine its distance from attractions, dining options, shopping, and other points of interest on foot.
  • Check how many positive users’ reviews the hotel has.
  • Last but not the least—check out the deals and discount available on the hotel.

4. Be Mindful of your Packing:

No matter if it’s your first trip or you’re an experienced globetrotter, it’s always useful to pack right, pack smart. First of all, create a list of the required things for travel.

From clothes, camera, devices to personal care products, makes sure to pack according to the trip. For example, packing for a beach trip would be different than those for a hiking trip. Avoid putting every kind of stuff into your bags. Take only what you will really require. For example, rather than packing a new outfit for each day, you can mix and match the items into multiple outfits. Here is a tip—three pairs of shoes and three tops for every bottom. Don’t forget to pack your toiletries, documents, and medications.

5. Keep the Cash (Local Currency) Handy:

Top of that, calculating exchange rates with the locals can be stressful. This is why you should carry local currency. You can get them at the ATM or currency exchange at the airport.
